Register Your Company In Pakistan

Setting up your business is quite simple now, Thanks to Management of SECP and Government of Pakistan who made the registration process a lot simple for us. In order to register your company, you must take care of given checklist for you which will help you in registering your company.

Checklist for Registering Your Company:

  • Internet Explorer Is A MUST for this Entire Application Process
  • Company Name Availability
  • Online Bank Challans
  • Documentation (Article of Memorandum, Article of Association)
  • Director Board Member CNIC
  • NIFT Signature’s
  • Receiving SECP Letter’s
  1. Company Name Availability: The Most Important thing while registering your company is the selection of your Company name, in order to avoid mutual interests of Companies. Before deciding your Company Name URL, one must visit Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan Website and check for Company Name availability. You will be asked for three types of Company Name Search i.e.
      • Exact Name
      • Beginning With
      • Including Exact String
    • You need to make sure to search your company name with above criteria as sometime it don’t display the company name with Exact Name Or Including Exact String as Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan follows these criteria to check company name availability.
    • Upon Successful Company Name, you are set to go with your Company Registration Procedure and for that you need to create a NEW EMAIL Account for your registration process, it can be made with your company name as well like abc@gmail.com, abc@hotmail.com etc
  2. Setting Up Your Email Account: Once you got your Company Name “ABC” you are good to go with setting up your Email Account, my recommendation would be to setup your email account with your Company name like abc@gmail.com, though its not necessary.
  3. Online Company Name Availability: The next quick step is to reserve your company name before somebody apply for it. To Reserve your Company name, follow the given procedure. Open Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan
    • You will see the Homepage of SECP Website, click Signup under Login Section
      Complete the registration process, to make it easier use user id as your company name like abc.
    • Provide your newly email account which you just setup and select Login Type as Applicant for Company Incorporation.
    • You will get confirmation email which you need to verify as it will take to the next step.
      Once you are done with Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan Signup Process, login to your account with your SECP User ID and Password. You will have the access only for Processes List section on the left Hand Side
  4. Online Bank Challans: There will be 2 stages where you need to generate the Bank Challans from SECP Official Website. i.e.
      • Company Name Reservation
      • Fees of Memorandum of Article, Article of Association, Form 21 and Form S8
  5. Get Documentation Done (Memorandum of Article,  Article of Association): The novice users who are new to the documentation part and not sure what exactly to be done within Memorandum of Article and Article of Association, I’ll recommend them to have a look at given link below and use desire document depending upon their company size and nature of business.
    Note:All these documents need to be attached in PDF format instead of word document. Another thing instead of XYZ Company Name you need to put your Company Name Title in the word document.
  6. NIFT’s Signature: After all necessary documentation and Bank Challans, you need to visit SECP Office to make the fees of NIFT Signature which will be emailed to you at your Company Email Address which you used for SECP Registration Process.Note: There is a expiry of NIFT Signature which is about 24 to 36 hours so be aware and check your email on regular basis.

    Once the NIFT Signature are installed at your Computer, it will help you to submit your SECP Profile later on, do take back up of them as they are going to be used in future as well.

  7. Incorporation Document: After this entire process, your SECP Online Application gets approved within 2 to 3 days. You may visit SECP Office to collect your Incorporation document which will have your company Number and Name on it.
